The violinist performs the Chaconne from Bach’s Violin Partita no.2 using a modern violin and a baroque bow 

Watch Tomás Cotik perform Bach’s Chaconne in this recording from 2019 at Portland State University, where Cotik is associate professor of violin. Cotik performs on a violin by Marc de Sterke (2000) with a baroque bow. 

Over ten weeks in 2019 and 2020, Cotik wrote a series of blog posts for The Strad covering many technical and stylistic aspects of interpreting Bach, which can be found in the drop down list above.
