Harrison Parrott has announced the signing of rising South Korean violinist Seohyun Kim to its roster for worldwide general management. The agency also recently signed 14-year-old Finnish violinist Lilja Haatainen.

Born in 2008, Kim became the youngest-ever winner of the 2023 Tibor Varga International Competition at the age of 14. She had also already won the first prize at the Ysaÿe International Music Competition and the Leonid Kogan International Violin Competition in 2021, as well as the Cooper International Competition in 2022, making her the youngest winner ever.

Kim recently performed the Sibelius Violin Concerto at the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2025 New Year’s Concert under the direction of Jaap van Zweden. She has made soloist appearances with orchestras in Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania and the US, as well as several Korean orchestras.

In 2026, she will tour with the WDR Sinfonieorchester in Germany and Korea, performing the Brahms Double Concerto alongside Daniel Müller-Schott under the direction of Andris Poga.

As a chamber musician and recitalist, she has made her debuts at the Tongyeong International Music Festival, the Gstaad Menuhin Festival, and the Dame Myra Hess Series in Chicago. Upcoming chamber music performances include collaborations with Daishin Kashimoto, Alessio Bax, and Clara JumiKang.

Kim is a student of Sunny Lee at the Seoul Central Conservatory. She plays a 1753 G.B. Guadagnini violin, generously loaned by the Tibor Varga Family and was also recently named a Larsen Young Artist.
