Violinist Cristian Grajner de Sá performs Ravel’s Tzigane

Violinist Cristian Grajner de Sá performs the final section of Ravel’s Tzigane in this concert recorded live from November 2021. He performs with the Gulbenkian Orchestra under the baton of Lina González-Granados at the Grande Auditório of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon.

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, London, he studied with Maurice Hasson and Tasmin Little, going on to complete his conservatory studies at Mozarteum University, Salzburg in the class of Pierre Amoyal. He is the first prize winner of the inaugural ‘Groba’ International Violin Competition in Spain and was also a string finalist in the 2012 BBC Young Musician of the Year competition. He plays on a 1783 Guadagnini violin.
