Members of the London Mozart Players join forces with clarinettist Michael Collins to perform the second movement of Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet in A major K622. The performance was filmed in the St Pancras Clock Tower in 2020.
Michael Collins and LMP will perform Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A major at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre on Friday 4 March, marking Collins’s 60th birthday. The concert was originally to be held on 27 January, Collins’s birthday that he shares with Mozart.
He says, ’After the last two years of restrictions, we hope that everyone is in the mood to party!’
Also on the programme will be Britten Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge, Jessie Montgomery’s Starburst and Weber’s Clarinet Concerto.
