Triple threat musician Alma Deutscher performs Ständchen by Schubert on violin with a ‘friend’ - ’I’ve never played with her before, so let’s hope that we get on!’

Born in 2005, Deutscher is already a highly accomplished composer, violinist and pianist. She’s sold out Carnegie Hall, had operas performed in three continents, released an album of her own compositions, and had her praises sung by artists such as Anne-Sophie Mutter and Zubin Mehta. On top of all that, she performs on the 1683 ’Bucher’ Stradivari violin, loaned to her from a patron administered by the Tarisio Trust. What were you doing when you were 16?
