Watch Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang in the studio recording her new album of works by two violinist-composers, Paganini and Schubert, for Warner Classics.
‘With this recording I mainly wanted to focus on song,’ she explains in the documentary. ’Fantasies on song, variations on song, operatic themes, lieder. That is what brings these two seemingly different composers together.’ The disc was recorded at the Teldex Studio in Berlin with pianist Michail Lifits.
