Vilde Frang and Lawrence Power perform Capricci for Violin and Viola II Lento by Bjarne Brustad, after hours at the Guildhall Art Gallery. The work will feature in Âme creative studio’s upcoming show Darkness Visible at the Barbican on 7 May, described by Power as ’a cinematic concert experience at the intersection of film and live music’.

In Darkness Visible the line between screen and stage is paper thin. The musicians will take the audience on a musical journey after dark through the City of London - from the Barbican stage to an empty St Paul’s at midnight, the picture storeroom of Guildhall Art Gallery out of hours and the beautiful Bart’s Hospital North Wing without the audience members leaving their seats.

The show brings together artists from a wide variety of creative disciplines including large format cinematic projections from director Jessie Rodger, 360 sound design by producer Brett Cox and live music led by Power.

Lawrence will be joined live by Frang and a 40-piece orchestra as well as special guests who will appear on screen, including singer Maddie Ashman and actor Anna Madeley.

Music will include Cassandra Miller’s Viola Concerto I Cannot Love Without Trembling alongside Dowland, Mozart, Prokofiev and more.
