What a line up! Featuring violinists Veronika Eberle and Dmitry Smirnov, violists Nils Mönkemeyer and Timothy Ridout, cellists Sol Gabetta and Victor Julien-Laferrière, and double bassist Uxía Martínez Botana, this chamber arrangement of Mozart’s Sinfonia concertante in E-flat major KV 364 was filmed at the Solsberg Festival 2023 at at Klosterkirche Olsberg.

The work is usually performed with a solo violin and viola (sometimes tuned in scordatura to accommodate the key of E-flat) and orchestra. Take a listen to our podcast episode featuring violist Nils Mönkemeyer, who spoke about the work, as well as performing on Mozart’s viola (!) back in 2022.
