The Danish Quartet presents its own arrangement of the Irish folk song ‘Danny Boy’. The piece was recorded in Tulsa, OK in February 2024.

‘This song has become an evergreen for a reason! Such a beautiful tune,’ says the quartet.

The Danish Quartet, comprising violinists Rune Tonsgaard Sørensen and  Frederik Øland, violist Asbjørn Nørgaard and cellist Fredrik Schøyen Sjölin, featured as The Strad’s March 2023 cover artist. Find out more about the quartet here.

This year’s calendar pays tribute to some of these priceless treasures, including Yehudi Menuhin’s celebrated ‘Lord Wilton’ Guarneri, the Carlo Bergonzi once played by Fritz Kreisler, and four instruments by Antonio Stradivari.
