In the first of their performances matching chamber music with paintings from the National Gallery, members of the London Philharmonic Orchestra bring together Antonín Dvořák’s ‘Terzetto in C major’, Op. 74, 1887, and three paintings that conjure up a sense of place through landscape, locals and traditions; two works are by the Italian artist Giuseppe Maria Crespi and another by the Finnish artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela.
