The sister-duo Hina & Fiona present a video performance of Johan Halvorsen Passacaglia for Two Violins (After G. F. Handel’s Passacaglia from Suite No. 7 in G Minor) from their debut album Dear to Us.

The rising stars hail from New York, born to French-Vietnamese and Japanese parents, and have achieved significant milestones individually, aged 21 and 18 respectively. Hina won first prize at the 2023 Elmar Oliveira International Competition, while Fiona debuted with the New York Philharmonic aged 16.

Together, their new album aims to illustrate a profound connection shaped by lifelong collaboration, artistic dialogue and complementary interpretations. It features a range of works by Moszkowski, Ysaÿe,  Rózsa, Anna Clyne, Ravel, Sarasate, plus an arrangement of Manuel Ponce’s Estrellita arranged by the sisters.

Dear to Us, featuring pianist Rohan De Silva, is out on Pentatone on 28 November.
