I have cancer spread to my liver and it's boring having nothing else to talk about except chemo so let me tell you about my viola. $300. on ebay auction, from the Mighty Quinn who don't usually carry bowed instruments. A beautifully flamed 16" Heimrich (sic) Werner Glaesel viola with distressed antiquing which I patched up with a sloppy DIY varnish job. It's brand new very very old store stock and the resonance is way beyond the price. I'm teaching myself from books and YouTube. I made it a blanket to snuggle under in its luxurious silk bag in a nice roomy case with the perfect chin rest and shoulder rest and reading glasses to match the silk bag and I just ordered another couple of cute stickers for the case and am I boring you?
