Cello quintet Sakura plays arrangement of Debussy’s 'The Girl with the Flaxen Hair'
The Los Angeles based quintet is named in honour of Ralph Kirshbaum, with whom all five members studied: 桜 sakura (Japanese) and Kirschbaum (German) have the same meaning (cherry tree). The quinted is formed by Michael Kaufman, Benjamin Lash, Gabriel Martins, Yoshika Masuda, and Peter Myers.
