Three violinists will perform concertos with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra on 7 February, with a chance to win the top prize of $50,000

Three grand finalists have been selected for the Singapore International Violin Competition, following the final rounds held on 4 and 5 February at Victoria Concert Hall, where six candidates performed Haydn string quartets with the Shanghai Quartet.
The three grand finalists are Zou Meng (China), Georgii Moroz (Ukraine) and Michael Germer (Denmark).
The grand final will take place on 7 February at the Esplanade Concert Hall from 5pm. Each candidate will perform a violin concerto with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Joshua Tan.

This year’s jury comprises Shmuel Ashkenasi, Augustin Dumay, Koichiro Harada, Ida Kavafian, Barnabás Kelemen, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Paul Roczek, Pavel Vernikov and Lina Yu, with artistic director Qian Zhou as chair.
