Due to the difficulties created by the current Covid-19 restrictions, the International Paganini Violin Competition has extended its closing date for registration this year from January to 31 May.

The competition will take place in Genoa from 15-24 October 2021.

In order to facilitate the participation of competitors, the entry fee will be charged only to those admitted to the preliminary rounds.

The competition has also changed the repertoire requirements for audition video: applicants may now substitute the movement of the Mozart Concerto (with piano accompaniment) with two movements of a Bach sonata or partitas for solo violin (BWV 1001-BWV 1006), excluding the movements wich have been selected for the preliminary round.
