The final rounds of the Antonio Mormone International Prize are taking place this week in Milan, comprising chamber music, solo and historical violin performances at the G. Verdi Conservatory, plus a final concerto performance at Teatro alla Scala.
Watch the performances from 18 June: US violinist Elli Choi plays her recital performance with pianist Kensei Yamaguchi. They perform Schubert Rondo Brillante in B minor for violin and piano D.895, Vacchi Sonatina V for violin (2023), Tchaikovsky Lensky’s Aria from Eugene Onegin op. 24 TH 5 (arr. L. Auer), Ysaÿe Sonata in E minor for violin solo, op.27 no.6, and Grieg Sonata for Violin and Piano no.3 in C minor op.45.
Dutch violinist Hawijch Elders presents her chamber music performance of Beethoven Trio in C minor op.9 no.3 with violist Benedetta Bucci and cellist Massimo Polidori.
