Ensemble132 presents Andante molto from Clara Schumann’s Three Romances op.22, performed here by cellist Zachary Mowitz and pianist Sahun Sam Hong, who are both co-artistic directors of the collective.

The work will feature on the group’s new album, Masques and Marionettes, out on 2 October 2026, via Steinway and Sons. It will feature a quintet arrangement of Stravinsky’s Petrushka, Robert Schumann’s Carnaval for piano quartet, as well as Stravinsky’s Two Poems of Konstantin Balmont in addition to the Clara Schumann Romances, each performed by different ensemble members.

The ensemble also comprises violinists Abi Fayette and Maria Ioudenitch, and Luther Warren on viola. In 2025, ensemble132 became a Steinway Ensemble and was awarded an Artistic Projects Award from Chamber Music America.

The group aims to reimagine the chamber music landscape, with a wide range of programming possibilities. These include chamber ballets, transcriptions of symphonic and jazz standards, plus orchestration of solo works.

The audio was produced and edited by Jesse Lewis, Christopher Moretti, from the Immersive Music Project. The video was edited by Kevin Hsu and recorded in August 2025 at Futura Productions in Roslindale, MA.
