Watch Abel Selaocoe perform a movement of his composition ‘Nagula’ at Fidelio Cafe in London.

Combining virtuosic performance with improvisation, singing and body percussion, Selaocoe has a special interest in curating recital programmes that highlight the links between Western and non-Western musical traditions, with a view to help classical music reach a more diverse audience.

Selaocoe appears at the Up Close and Musical festival at Fidelio Cafe in London on 29 July. The festival begins 17 July, having been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic:
