The Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA) could be in line for a $50,000 grant from Pepsi. The organisation hopes to use the money to fund a thousand $50 partial scholarships for teachers, parents and others taking its Every Child Can course - an introduction to Suzuki philosophy and education - for the first time.

The SAA's proposal is one of hundreds of ideas being put forward each month for the Pepsi Refresh Project, which aims to help individuals and communities in the US. The ideas get voted for by the public, and only those that make it into the top ten will receive funding. The SAA's Every Child Can proposal is currently ranked 26th. Voting for the current round of funding ends on 31 August, and SAA supporters can vote at http://www.refresheverything.com/everychildcan.
