The Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA) could be in line
for a $50,000 grant from Pepsi. The organisation hopes to use the
money to fund a thousand $50 partial scholarships for teachers,
parents and others taking its Every Child Can course - an
introduction to Suzuki philosophy and education - for the first
time.
The SAA's proposal is one of hundreds of ideas being put forward
each month for the Pepsi Refresh Project, which aims to help
individuals and communities in the US. The ideas get voted for by
the public, and only those that make it into the top ten will
receive funding. The SAA's Every Child Can proposal is currently
ranked 26th. Voting for the current round of funding ends on 31
August, and SAA supporters can vote at
