Violinist Julian Rhee signs to IMG Artists

IMG Artists has announced the signing of violinist Julian Rhee to its roster for North American representation. He will be represented by artist manager John Stapleton.

Winner of the 2024 Avery Fisher Career Grant, Rhee received fifth prize at the 2024 Queen Elisabeth Competition, and won the silver medal at the 11th Quadrennial International Violin Competition of Indianapolis in 2022. He also won first prize at the Elmar Oliveira International Competition and Astral Artists’ National Auditions and has received numerous honours.

A U.S. Presidential Scholar, he received his medal at the White House and serves as a Young Strings of America Ambassador sponsored by SHAR Music.

He has appeared with leading orchestras across North America, Europe, and Asia. Rhee’s recent and upcoming engagements include debuts with the European Orchestra Academy, Richmond Symphony, Gürzenich Orchestra, Pacific Symphony, Symphony in C, and Arkansas Symphony, with returns to the Eugene Symphony, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, Madison Symphony, and Santa Rosa Symphony.

Rhee received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at New England Conservatory, where he was teaching assistant to Miriam Fried, and currently studies with Christian Tetzlaff at the Kronberg Academy.
