BIS Records has announced that violinist Alina Ibragimova has signed as a solo recording artist to its roster. BIS has worked with Ibragimova as leader of the Chiaroscuro Quartet and will extend this collaboration to her solo work.

Ibragimova’s journey with BIS begins with a complete cycle of Beethoven’s Violin Sonatas, performed on period instruments with her long-standing artistic partner Cédric Tiberghien.

This will be followed by recordings of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and Romances for Violin and Orchestra with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, all scheduled for release before the close of the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s death in 2027.

As a soloist, recent seasons have seen Ibragimova perform with the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Budapest Festival Orchestra and Orchestre symphonique de Montréal.
