The festival is taking place in a 5000 sq ft marquee

The North York Moors Festival has gone ahead with a live audience - in accordance with social distancing regulations. The festival is taking place in a 5000 sq ft semi open marquee, containing 12 acoustic panels illustrated with scenes of the North York Moors coastline.

The festival, which continues until 22 August, launched on Sunday with a performance from the Cremona Quartet. Tonight’s programme, with the same ensemble, comprises Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 8 in Eminor, Op 59 No 2; String Quartet No. 12 in E flat major, Op.127; and Golijov’s Tenebrae. For more information on the programme, visit: www.northyorkmoorsfestival.com
