Musician holds a professorship at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg and is artist-in-residence with the Neubrandenburger Philharmonie

Askonas Holt has added violinist Tobias Feldmann to its artists roster for representation worldwide. 

Feldmann is a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth and Joseph Joachim competitions, and winner of the 2012 German Music Competition. He has gone on to forge a career performing repertoire ranging from the core concertante works to music by Mieczysław Weinberg,  Franz Joseph Clement, Einojuhani Rautavaara and Isang Yun.

Highlights of the 2019/20 season include debuts with the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony, Tapiola Sinfonietta, Niedersächsisches Staatsorchester Hannover, Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra, Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg and Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. He will also return as soloist for the Uppsala Chamber Orchestra and Adana Symphony Orchestra, and has been appointed artist-in-residence with the Neubrandenburger Philharmoniker. 

Forthcoming concert dates include performances with the Helsinki Philharmonic, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Tonkünstler-Orchester, Berner Sinfonieorchester and Moscow State Symphony; along with recitals at Alte Oper Frankfurt, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Beethovenhaus Bonn and Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival.

As a chamber player he has partnered with Kian Soltani, Denis Kozhukhin, Maximilian Hornung, Boris Kusnezow and Tabea Zimmermann.

Feldmann studied at the Musikhochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin with Antje Weithaas. In 2018, at the age of 26, he was appointed to a professorship at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg.

He plays a 1769 violin by Nicolo Gagliano.
