In this video, 15-year-old Ellinor D’Melon plays the Mozart’s Violin Concerto no.5 (3rd movement) with Freixenet Symphony Orchestra of the Queen Sofía College of Music in Madrid under conductor Zubin Mehta.

D’Melon was born in Kingston, Jamaica, beginning violin lessons at the age of two and a half. She then studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School with Natasha Boyarsky.

Since 2011, she has been studying at the Queen Sofía College of Music (Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía) in Madrid, with Zakhar Bron and since 2013 at the Zakhar Bron Academy in Interlaken, Switzerland.

D’Melon plays a 1743 G.B. Guadagnini violin loaned by an anonymous donor in London.
