In this video, Danish cellist Ida Riegels plays one of her own compositions to horses at a riding school in Switzerland.

Riegels is currently cycling the length of the Rhine, 1000 kilometres (620 miles) from the Swiss Alps to the Dutch North Sea coast, with a cello on her back, giving 36 concerts along the way. She built her own cello for the trip but ran out of time and had to leave it unvarnished.

It is not the first time Riegels has undertaken a musical pilgrimage, having previously retraced the footsteps of J.S. Bach’s 400km journey from Arnstadt to Lübeck to meet Buxtehude.
