The trio of Capuçon, Ma and Rana performed arrangements of film soundtracks such as John Williams’s Theme from Schindler’s List and Ennio Morricone’s Gabriel’s Oboe. Ridout joined the ensemble for performances of Brahms’ First Piano Quartet followed by an encore of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah.

The event was staged in Évian’s newly opened concert hall, La Source Vive, which is renowned for its world-class acoustics.

Ridout posted about the event on social media, describing it as ‘a tremendous honour’ and an ‘astonishing invitation’.
