The former winners of the 2023 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition join the roster for management and touring representation

General Arts Touring of New York has announced the addition of violin-guitar duo ArcoStrum to its roster for management and touring representation.
Winners of the 2023 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition and recipients of the Audience Prize, ArcoStrum became the first violin-guitar duo in the competition’s more than 70-year history to earn this distinction. The ensemble comprises violinist Strauss Shi and guitarist TY Zhang.
’We are delighted to welcome ArcoStrum to General Arts Touring,’ said Tom Gallant, director of General Arts Touring.
’Their extraordinary musicianship, innovative programming, and ability to connect with audiences of all ages make them a wonderful addition to our roster. We look forward to expanding their touring opportunities throughout North America.’
Recent and upcoming engagements for the ensemble include Carnegie Hall Citywide, Merkin Hall, Caramoor, the Kravis Center, the Krannert Center, the Austin Chamber Music Festival (with Empire Wild), the Guitar Foundation of America Convention, Wharton Center, Billings Symphony, University of Texas at Dallas, University of Nevada–Las Vegas, Howland Chamber Music Circle and many others.
ArcoStrum regularly presents interactive workshops, school performances, and masterclasses for students ranging from kindergarten through college. In the summer of 2025, the duo led an eight-week residency at the Fried Music School in Alhambra, California, creating RockoStrum, a programme that encouraged young musicians to collaborate, form ensembles, explore music beyond the classical tradition, develop arranging skills and expand their artistic horizons.
