Jack Quartet and Angelo Xiang Yu awarded grants worth $25,000 each

The Avery Fisher Artist Program has today announced the latest recipients of its $25,000 career grants. They are the Jack Quartet, violinist Angelo Xiang Yu, pianist Henry Kramer and sisters Christina and Michelle Naughton, piano duo.

Yu is a former winner of the Menuhin Competition (2010).

The Avery Fisher Artist Program has been administered by the Lincoln Center since 1974 as part of a major philanthropic gift by electronics pioneer and amateur musician Avery Fisher. Recipients of 153 Career Grants awarded since then include, Augustin Hadelich, James Ehnes and Hilary Hahn, the Dover Quartet, and pianists Kirill Gerstein, Jonathan Biss and Yuja Wang.

The grant recipients will perform in a group concert which will also be streamed live and on the radio broadcast by WQXR, New York, on Thursday 25 April 25 at 9pm EDT on 105.9 FM and www.wqxr.org
