Four violinists will perform a concerto in the final round on 18 January

Four violinists have been selected to progress to the final round of the Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition (EOIVC), following the semi-final rounds held on 13-14 January at Lynn Conservatory of Music, Boca Raton, FL.
They are:
Sameer Agrawal (20, US)
Yiyang Hou (21, China)
Julia Jones (21, US)
Hyun Jae Lim (28, South Korea)
The final round will take place on 18 January at the Keith C. & Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center. Competing for the top prize of £30,000, the finalists will be accompanied by the Lynn Philharmonia, conducted by Gerald Karni, performing their choice of the Brahms, Dvořák, Mendelssohn, Prokofiev, Saint-Saëns, Sibelius, Tchaikovsky or Vieuxtemps concertos.
This year’s jury comprises Ilya Kaler, Ida Kavafian, Irina Muresanu, Philip Setzer, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, and Kyoko Takezawa, with Andrés Cárdenes as chairman of the jury.
