An orchestra of 158 cellos plays variations on ‘Happy Birthday’ in honour of Antonio Janigro on the 100th anniversary of his birth. The concert took place on 21 January 2018 at the Vatroslav Lisinski hall in Zagreb organised by the Antonio Janigro Association.

Although born Italian, Janigro made Croatia his adopted homeland.

In addition to being a cello soloist and teacher he founded the Zagreb Soloists (I Solisti di Zagreb), a chamber orchestra that brought him recognition as a conductor as well. The ensemble has been the Ambassador of Croatian Culture for over 60 years. Janigro was also the founder of the Croatian Radio Television Symphony Orchestra.
