The Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin has announced the appointment of 24-year-old Russian-born violinist Marina Grauman as its new 1st Concertmaster.

Grauman, who studied with Savely Shalman at the St. Petersburg Conservatoire and is currently studying with Ulf Wallin at Berlin’s Hanns Eisler School of Music, is a former prize winner at the Jeunes, Bodensee, Tonali and the ARD International Music Competitions.

She takes up her new position with the commencement of the 2019-2020 season.
