Yeesun Kim was born in South Korea and studied in the US with Lawrence Lesser.

She is a member of the Borromeo Quartet, previously NPR’s ensemble-inresidence.

Alongside her work at the New England Conservatory, Kim has taught at Canada’s McGill International String Quartet Academy and at the Suntory Hall Fellows Academy in Japan.
