In this video, the micro-artist Mattewada Ajay Kumar, who hails from Warangal, a city in the south Indian state of Telangana, plays his micro-violin: a tiny functional violin, weighing 0.74 mg and all of 2 cm long, sculpted from gold. The instrument, which comes complete with four metal strings and a bow, took Kumar 11 hours to make - a process which required him to hold his breath at times in order to complete the finest details.
