Damaris Silva, a 26-year-old Chilean nurse on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic, has gained attention for playing the violin to sick patients and tired staff after her shift has ended. 

Twice a week at 6pm, Silva returns to the ward where some COVID-19 patients have spent weeks in critical care at the El Pino Hospital in the capital Santiago.

According to Reuters, she walks the halls for several hours, playing a mix of popular Latin songs for patients. In this video, we can see her performing.

Chile is ranked No. 6 in the world for total confirmed coronavirus cases, with 298,557 since the pandemic began, according to Johns Hopkins University. Chile has reported more than 6,000 deaths.
