The semi-finals of the 77th Concours de Genève string quartet discipline begin today. Each semi-finalist ensemble will present two recitals between today and Friday 27 October, for the chance to progress to the final round on Sunday 29 October.

Session 1 - 15:00

Hana Quartet

Session 3 - 19:00

Eos Quartet

  • B. Bartók: String Quartet n°6 in D Major, Sz. 114
  • A. Webern: Langsamersatz
  • F. Mendelssohn: String Quartet n°6 in F minor, Op. 80

Previously scheduled for 17:00, the Atenea Quartet has cancelled its performance due to a tragic event in the family of one of its members.

Tomorrow’s recitals will include performances from the Ast, Elmire and Novo Quartets.
