Competition results

Chinese violinist Meng Zou, 22, and Korean cellist Jeri Lee, 15, have respectively won the $30,000 first prizes in the violin and cello divisions of the Schoenfeld International String Competition in Harbin, China. The $15,000 second prizes went to Chinese violinist Bo Cui, 24, and New Zealand cellist Matthias Balzat, 26, and the $8,000 third prizes to US violinist Audrey Park, 22, and Russian cellist Bogdan Efremov, 19. In the chamber division, the $20,000 first prize was awarded to the Archai Trio, comprising German violinist Ayla Sahin, 26, Irish cellist Finn Mannion, 23, and Spanish pianist Mar Valor, 25. The $10,000 second prize was won by the Berlinsky Quartet, and the $5,000 third prize by the Mila Quartet…
