Ori Kam studied with Chaim Taub in Israel and Pinchas Zukerman in New York, winning prizes at the Concours de Genève and the International Lionel Tertis Competition, before joining the Berlin Philharmonic orchestra for two years from 2004.

He was appointed professor of viola at the Haute École de Musique de Genève in 2009, and is currently the violist of the Jerusalem Quartet.
