Former BBC Symphony Orchestra violinist Keith Gurry is appealing
for any information leading to the safe recovery of two violins and
four bows that were stolen from his East London home.
The stolen violins are by Francesco Guadagnini (Turin, 1888) and
Ian Highfield (Birmingham, 1982). Also missing are a gold- and
tortoiseshell-mounted bow by Malcolm Taylor, a silver-mounted
Matthew Coltman bow, a bow by R. Herbert Leicht, and a Col Legno
carbon fibre bow.
Anyone who might know of their whereabouts is asked to call 020
