The New York-based quartet are among the first artists signed through CAG’s new selection process

The Concert Artists Guild (CAG) has announced the new wave of artists signed to its roster, including the New York-based Katarina Quartet as well as pianist Carter Johnson and composer Oswald Huỳnh.
The Katarina Quartet comprises Canadian violinists Jeanel Liang and Jérôme Chiasson, Canadian violist Celia Morin, and US cellist Maya Enstad. It was founded in 2022 at the McGill University and studied with André Roy.
Since then, the quartet has won the grand prize of the 2025 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, two prizes at the 2025 Wigmore Hall String Quartet Competition, and the gold medal at the 2024 St Paul Chamber Music Competition. It is currently the Graduate Resident String Quartet at The Juilliard School.
The artists are the first to join the roster as part of CAG’s new selection process:
‘As part of its landmark 75th Anniversary, CAG has shifted from its annual competition to a dynamic, year-round artist selection model that prioritises accessibility, flexibility, and a deeper understanding of each artist’s unique vision and career path. We are thrilled to announce the first artists signed through this new process,’ CAG announced.
The Katarina Quartet likewise expressed its enthusiasm for the signing: ‘We’re so honoured to join a roster of such amazing and inspiring musicians!’
