COMPETITION RESULTS

Japanese cellist Michiaki Ueno, 25, has won the Geneva International Competition’s cello division and CHF20,000 (£16,000), as well as the Concerts de Jussy Prize (CHF3,000) and Young Audience Prize (CHF1,000). Ueno is currently an artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium.
