The Boston Symphony concertmaster Malcolm Lowe, who took extended leave following a concussion that he suffered in March 2018, has resumed his first seat in this weekend’s concerts.

This news follows Lowe’s recent return to play in the rear of the section. The 65-year-old violinist has led the orchestra since 1984.
