A chin and shoulder rest system receives a lightweight makeover

Dolfinos’ new Signature edition of its chin and shoulder rest system is the most affordable of the range so far. ‘It was always the plan to bring prices down,’ says head of research Michael Wiener. ‘We didn’t want to simplify the technology, so the production process was simplified.’ The result is a proprietary injection-moulded carbon composite. It contains double the amount of carbon fibres of the Carbon edition and is 25 per cent lighter than – and ‘almost as rigid’ as – the top-end Limited Air edition at ‘nearly half the price’, Wiener says.
