Take a peek into the luthier’s compact workshop

There’s been a running theme to the workshops I’ve been involved with, in that the building they’re in always seems to be torn down! In the 1990s the shop where I was got pulled down in order to expand the Chicago Symphony Center next door. Then I moved to a place opposite where I am now, where my current business partner Stefan Hersh also had a shop. We then started our current business and after going through two more premises, we’re now on the 14th floor of a large tower block and we love the spectacular views of the city on all sides…
