André Rieu's album Forever Vienna has climbed to no.2 in the British pop charts, the highest position ever reached by a classical instrumentalist. The recording features the Dutch violinist and his Johann Strauss Orchestra in popular Strauss waltzes, polkas and other dances. Rieu's no.2 spot surpasses the no.3 place achieved by Nigel Kennedy and his 1989 CD of Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
