Violinist Jiafeng Chen and cellists Mikhail Nemtsov and Yoshika Masuda were the winning finalists in the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship Awards in London. Each received a prize of £2,000. Chen, 22, studies with Jan Repko at the Royal College of Music in London. Masuda, 23, and Nemtsov, 22, are both students at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where they study with Ralph Kirshbaum and Hannah Roberts respectively.
