It was wonderful to meet so many of our readers and followers during the annual trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany. Take a look at a few photos from the weekend

Thank you to everyone who visited our stand at the 2024 akustika trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany, which took place at Messe Nürnberg from 8 to 10 March. It was great to meet so many of our contributors and subscribers face to face. We enjoyed displaying our wide range of books and showcasing our February 2024 issue

We visited many of the exhibitors’ stands, enjoyed watching talented violinists play in front of our own stand, and attended performances. It was also very exciting to watch the awarding of the 2024 German Musical Instrument Award, which was won by the making firm Heinrich Gill GmbH. And finally, Nuremberg’s historic city centre was also a treat to visit – see some of the images above!

Take a look at what the weekend was like from the reels on our Instagram page @the_strad_ Here was our second day at the fair:

An exclusive range of instrument making posters, books, calendars and information products published by and directly for sale from The Strad.

Posters

The Strad’s exclusive instrument posters, most with actual-size photos depicting every nuance of the instrument. Our posters are used by luthiers across the world as models for their own instruments, thanks to the detailed outlines and measurements on the back.

Books

The number one source for a range of books covering making and stinged instruments with commentaries from today’s top instrument experts.

Calendars

American collector David L. Fulton amassed one of the 20th century’s finest collections of stringed instruments. This year’s calendar pays tribute to some of these priceless treasures, including Yehudi Menuhin’s celebrated ‘Lord Wilton’ Guarneri, the Carlo Bergonzi once played by Fritz Kreisler, and four instruments by Antonio Stradivari.
