Classical music publishing giant Boosey & Hawkes has launched an online service allowing users to study more than 400 scores for free. Visitors who register with the publisher's website will be able to peruse orchestral, opera and large ensemble scores from the Boosey & Hawkes catalogue. Among the contemporary works available are pieces by Magnus Lindberg and Unsuk Chin, and Harrison Birtwistle's Violin Concerto, which was given its world premiere by Christian Tetzlaff just a couple of months ago. Users can search by composer or genre, and can bookmark sections within the scores.
