A British composer, violinist and cellist is recording on HMS
Victory, the ship on which Admiral Nelson was killed during the
Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, reports BBC
News.
Marvin Ayres has been commissioned to compose and record on the
ship by the National Museum of the Royal Navy. The recording is
part of a four-part musical project to reflect the navy's
activities on the sea, under the sea, in the air and on land.
Ayres, who last year made a recording in a 1940s submarine, will
play cello, violin and viola on one of the gun decks of the
247-year-old HMS Victory.
