The London Philharmonic Orchestra has suspended one of its
violinists after she delivered an anti-Israel diatribe at a
pre-Proms event. The incident happened at a Proms Plus Intro
session at the Royal College of Music ahead of the BBC Proms
concert by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO), which was
repeatedly disrupted by pro-Palestinian demonstrators.
During the pre-concert event, members of the IPO were interviewed
by the BBC. At the end of the session, according to the report,
'the woman said she was representing her LPO colleagues and
launched into what was described by audience members as both a
'rant' and 'anti-Israel diatribe'.'
