I had that happen to me in a concert as orchestra member. Almost at the same place. I was able to get it repaired to restore playability with a carbon fiber splint. Far less expensive bow and value is $0.00 but it does work. Thanks to Lashof Violins of Gaithersburg, MD USA. There was a 1960s video of the same thing happening to Ruggiero Ricci, though that may have been a hair plug becoming undone.
